The Long-Term Care Nurse Aide program is a state and federally regulated training and certification program that prepares individuals to perform basic nursing skills. Training is provided in the areas of communication, patient needs, how the body functions, infection control, safety, body mechanics, vital signs, personal care, special procedures, and emergency care.
Students who complete this training program are eligible to take an Oklahoma State Department of Health approved Long-Term Care Nurse Aide written and clinical certification test through the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education’s Health Certification Project
